Avantalk SundayPro

This Bluetooth, solar charged speakerphone really is a nifty little gadget.

There seems to be an ever increasing call for power to charge our gadgets whilst on the move. In our cars we now want to be able to charge and power everything from laptops to mobile phones and sat nav's to portable gaming devices, but if you've been using a Bluetooth handsfree speaker that you had to charge every few hours the Avantalk SundayPro could be just the thing you need!

The SundayPro features noise cancellation technology, phonebook download, caller ID announcement and five different languages and yet couldn't be easier to use.

An initial charge of the speakerphone to get you started can either be done via a USB cable on your computer or with the included cigarette socket adaptor. After that, simply slide the device into its windscreen holder and attach it to your window where it'll charge itself using nothing but the sun's rays whenever they're available.

The SundayPro fits firmly into the holder which is also pretty good at staying attached to your window thanks to two small suction cups.

What's really good about the SundayPro is how easy it is to operate thanks to it's four buttons. That's right just four buttons - mute, volume up and down and a "talk" button.
By pressing the talk button for several second the unit will turn on and go into pairing mode which was quick and easy on our HTC Touch HD. From there on you just hit the talk button to answer a call, or if you have voice tags recorded on your phone, press it, speak the name of the person you want to call and off you go!

Call quality is pretty good and the SundayPro does cancel most background noise, although we did find that the other party struggled to hear clearly when driving down faster roads or motorways.

Talk time is good too - around 11 hours on a single charge.

The biggest selling point of the Avantalk SundayPro is it's solar panel. After an intial charge we found that except under heavy usage it didn't need to be charged via cable meaning it could just be left in the window and work when you needed it to, and for that reason alone you ought to have one!
