BT Mops Up

BT has started the clear up operation in one of its telephone exchanges following yesterday's incident.

BT is restoring power to one of its central London exchanges that flooded and caught fire yesterday but still doesn't know how long it will take to restore services to the thousands of customers that were affected.

The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning when it is thought that a flood caused an electrical fire at Burne House in north Paddington, and had knock on effects in over 430 other exchanges.

According to BT work to remove the flood water was ongoing through the night and they have said that they will continue to work around the clock to restore service to all customers.
