Binatone iDect C5i

The iDECT C5i is one of two new stylish home phones from Binatone.

The Binatone iDECT C5i is a slimline cordless phone with an ergonomically curved handset which sounds and looks great.

The single handset version of the C5i is available for £44.99 and for that you get a handset packed with features which include a phone book, caller display, 10 ringtone melodies, backlight, answer machine, handsfree and eco-mode.

Call quality on the C5i is loaud and clear even at the very edge of the handsets range, however we did find that at times the handsfree speaker wasn't as clear as it could be - but that's just us being picky!

When it comes to dialling numbers on the handset, we found that it took a bit of getting used to as the buttons are all flat, and despite their large size they were still a bit fiddly to start with.

Talktime is pretty good with the C5i - around 10 hours and we found that thanks to it's sleek curve it rested comfortably between ear and shoulder for those times when both hands are needed mid-call!

All in all for a penny less that £45 you could do a lot worse than go for the C5i - it looks good, sounds great and has all the features the average home user needs and all at a sensible price.

The iDECT X5i is the second of the two new models and retails for around £39.99.
