Spotify Set for Shake Up

Free music service Spotify is showing all the signs of a major shake up on the way.

Spotify has just launched two new services - Unlimited and Open which could mean some big changes to regular users of it's free service.

The Unlimited service speaks for itself but Spotify Open will deliver up to 20 hours of ad supported music per month and looks set to replace Spotify Free sooner or later.

Existing users won't see any changes in the forseeable future and can still send invitations to the service to others however that may not last much longer. Spotify says that people are "still able to sign up by obtaining one of the many millions of invites currently available".

The change in the way Spotify operates would not come as a surprise as industry experts have been expecting the end of completely free music on the streaming service for some time.
