Skype for iPhone
The new iPhone Skype app has apparently been downloaded by five million customers since it's launch at the weekend.
The Skype 2.0 app that was launched last weekend included support for making calls over a 3G network meaning users of the VoIP application aren't restricted to having to make calls when connected to a WiFi network.
The application means that users can make and receive free Skype-to-Skype calls for a trial period and call mobiles and landlines anywhere in the world at low rates. Free Skype-Skype calls when using the app are expected to end later this year.
